INNOSUP PROJECTS SUPPORT INNOVATIONS MADE BY INDUSTRIAL SERVICE COMPANIES  

The INNOSUP instrument is part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, the purpose of which is to find new ways to support innovation.

THE LARGEST INVESTMENT OF THE FOREST INDUSTRY IN FINLAND IS READY 

The largest investment of the forest industry in Finland – the new Kemi bioproduct mill and the paperboard mill expansion – came into operation as planned on end of  September 2023. Pulp deliveries from the new mill to customers will begin in October 2023.

Digipolis – Kemi Technology Park

Lapland’s largest technology hub Digipolis has been in operation since 1993. At its core are 50 companies and organisations that operate in the area and employ around 500 people. Development company Kemin Digipolis Oy is responsible for promoting the growth and development of these companies and for maintaining a dynamic operating environment. Kemin Teollisuuskylä Oy makes sure all operators have suitable facilities. In addition, Digipolis houses a strong educational hub: Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lappia Vocational College organise education for 1,500 pupils and RDI services for companies in the region.
