Kemin Digipolis Oy, part of Kemi Group, is responsible for development work in the area. The company is owned by the municipalities of Kemi, Tornio, Keminmaa, Tervola, and Simo, as well as the University of Oulu Scholarship Foundation. A team of just over ten people and a number of service providers serve the region’s companies and their needs. The activities include, for example, Business Kemi (business counselling), Invest in Kemi (relocation services) and national Circular Economy Centre.

Lapland University of Applied Sciences is familiar with the northern environment. Its purpose is to carry out research and development activities that serve teaching at universities of applied sciences, the working life, companies and regional development.
Lappia Vocational College and Lappia-Koulutus Oy are responsible for the workers of the future. Lappia offers practical training for young people, adults and the working life at Kemin Digipolis and elsewhere in Lapland.
