METSÄ FIBRE IS BUILDING A BIOPRODUCT MILL IN KEMI

Kemin Digipolis is happy to share the news that Metsä Fibre’s bioproduct mill project will be realised in Kemi. Construction work has taken off quickly in the form of demolition and piling.

Digipolis – Kemi Technology Park

Lapland’s largest technology hub Digipolis has been in operation since 1993. At its core are 50 companies and organisations that operate in the area and employ around 500 people. Development company Kemin Digipolis Oy is responsible for promoting the growth and development of these companies and for maintaining a dynamic operating environment. Kemin Teollisuuskylä Oy makes sure all operators have suitable facilities. In addition, Digipolis houses a strong educational hub: Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lappia Vocational College organise education for 1,500 pupils and RDI services for companies in the region.
